The Client provides a challenging broad range of skill development in a team environment. We provide quality customer service and support in an academic/research/business setting.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Monitors Clemson network server and application elements resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.
- Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alters via emails incoming calls and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned such as meetings project work administration and facilities requirements.
- Configure network and system resources and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches.
- Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and the knowledge base. Participates in training and cross-training for the Tier II. Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of IP Network Troubleshooting
- 3 years DNS configuration
- 3 years of understanding monitoring tools (Splunk SolarWinds)
- 2 years ServiceNow ITSM Tool
- 2 years Server Batch Scripting
- 2 years Cisco Network Tools (ISE Catalyst)
- 2 years technical writing experience
