Job Description

Our Northern Ireland-based client is seeking a dedicated and motivated Hatchery & Farm Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our hatchery and farms. This role is central to maintaining the health and welfare of our fish stocks ensuring the highest standards of care hygiene and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Animal husbandry: feeding monitoring and maintaining stock welfare

  • Daily inspection of stock and accurate reporting of health issues

  • Recording environmental and operational data (oxygen levels temperatures feed rations mortality rates)

  • Cleaning and maintaining tanks raceways and equipment to strict hygiene standards

  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and buildings

  • Assisting with the grading and sampling of fish stocks

  • Delivering live processed or organic waste to designated receivers

  • Supporting wider farm operations as required

About You

  • Practical reliable and comfortable with hands-on work

  • Strong attention to detail and proactive in spotting potential issues

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team

  • Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
