Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough testing of software solutions to ensure functionality and performance.
- Design develop and execute test plans and test cases.
- Identify document and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Perform regression testing to determine the impact of changes.
- Implement automation testing strategies where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Create and maintain test documentation including test plans and test scripts.
- Assist in the development of user acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Monitor software performance metrics and recommend optimizations.
- Provide timely reports on testing progress and results.
- Work within an Agile environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java Python or C#.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. JIRA TestRail).
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience writing test scripts is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB) is preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
