Your Opportunity
Were looking for a Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Technology Service team.
In this role youll leverage your technical skills to develop maintain and support innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges in the payments industry. From designing and building scalable systems to ensuring seamless integration with key technologies your work will directly impact millions of users.
Youll also make an impact by:
- Interpret Business Needs:
- Translate both business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint and non-functional requirements such as availability disaster recovery and security.
- Develop solution architectures that adhere to our Technology Strategies including API Cloud and Cyber Strategy ensuring compliance with governance obligations.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to support robust architectural foundations that accommodate future business demands.
- Understand and integrate business drivers and enterprise solution designs to drive targeted outcomes.
- Example Deliverables: Requirements traceability document business process diagrams.
- Assess Technology:
- Monitor and evaluate our current technology landscape to identify and rectify deficiencies.
- Stay abreast of global trends and disruptions to make informed technological decisions.
- Support lifecycle management and strategic decision-making for end-of-life products.
- Analyse market trends and competitor strategies to proactively adjust our technological trajectory.
- Example Deliverables: Current state architecture documentation vendor assessments for RFP technology lifecycle plans.
- Apply Technology:
- Lead the design and implementation of solution architectures across various business applications and technologies.
- Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise solution portfolio from its current to future state.
- Provide consultancy across a wide range of technologies and projects ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Work closely with the Domain Lead to ensure effective execution of architectural plans.
- Example Deliverables: Solution architecture designs enterprise target state architecture.
- Provide Enterprise Guidance:
- Deliver standards models and architectural designs to support governance and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture.
- Facilitate a community of practice to align agile squads and product owners with enterprise architecture.
- Define and direct governance activities for solution architecture assurance.
- Example Deliverables: Solution scorecard enterprise reference architecture components.
Qualifications :
What youll bring
To succeed in this role youll have:
- Advanced knowledge of Financial Systems; core banking systems payment platforms and other financial transaction processing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to define IT architectures standards and solutions and to get stakeholder agreement on those architectures standards solutions.
- Experience with API Lifecycle Management.
- Experience or familiarity with AWS Cloud Services Data Design and Cloud adoption frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to define IT architectures standards and solutions and to get stakeholder agreement on those architectures standards solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to guide projects and deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to produce solution designs and artefacts within agile ways of working.
- Technical acumen with AWS services PaaS IaaS Security networking and infrastructure
- Experience in working in Agile and Waterfall environments with an ability to adapt to differing project methodologies.
Youll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
- Experience in the payments environments with payment system standards such as AS2805/ISO8583 ISO20022 BECS etc.
- Experience in software development.
