Position Summary
The Translational Aortic Research Group a collaboration between University Health Network and the University of Toronto seeks a full-time Research Technician under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Chung (Division of Cardiac Surgery) and Prof. Craig Simmons (Translational Biology and Engineering Program Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research). Responsibilities include maintaining a comprehensive aortic database and tissue bank conducting mechanical testing on aortic tissue performing histology and assisting with basic lab work and data analysis. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable candidate preferably with an engineering background and prior experience in bench lab research.
