Mechanical Assembler - Environment Testing - PART-TIME and TEMPORARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Part-Time Mechanical Assembler. This role involves hands on assembly of both small and large components primarily fabricated through CAD based manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design and construction of laboratory furniture enclosures and custom mechanical systems while actively participating in team meetings and design discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical components and systems from CAD manufactured parts ensuring precision and quality.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings CAD models and assembly instructions.
• Assist in the design and fabrication of laboratory furniture enclosures and custom mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to refine product designs and improve assembly processes.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to design and manufacturing decisions.
• Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
• Additional duties as assigned.

This position is PART-TIME and TEMPORARY. 

The hours for this position are M-F 1pm-5pm estimated 20 hours/week. 

The estimated duration for this role is 8-12 weeks. 

Qualifications :

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Experience with mechanical assembly 
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement including the ability to read write and speak in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or Sponsorship

Ideal Candidates will have: 

• Experience with mechanical assembly preferably in a CAD driven manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and handle components of varying sizes and weights.
