Job Title: Md Psychiatry Consultant

As an integral part of our medical team the Md Psychiatry Consultant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy counseling and medication management.
- Collaborate with medical staff and multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on mental health disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Lead and participate in case discussions and team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards in psychiatry.
- Conduct research and contribute to clinical studies as directed.
- Provide crisis intervention and management for acute psychiatric situations.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and residents in psychiatric practices.
- Stay current with developments in psychiatry and mental health care.
- Advocate for patient rights and promote educational initiatives.
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise mental health awareness.
Qualifications:
- MD in Psychiatry or equivalent recognized qualification.
- State medical license in India.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatric practice.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities.
- Experience in research and understanding of evidence-based practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in patient documentation and medical record management.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Familiarity with mental health advocacy and community resources.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Adept in using electronic health record systems.
- Understanding of ethical and legal considerations in psychiatry.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary.
