Job Title: Md Psychiatry Consultant

As an integral part of our medical team the Md Psychiatry Consultant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide psychotherapy counseling and medication management.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health disorders and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Lead and participate in case discussions and team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards in psychiatry.
  • Conduct research and contribute to clinical studies as directed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management for acute psychiatric situations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and residents in psychiatric practices.
  • Stay current with developments in psychiatry and mental health care.
  • Advocate for patient rights and promote educational initiatives.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to raise mental health awareness.

Qualifications:

  • MD in Psychiatry or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • State medical license in India.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatric practice.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities.
  • Experience in research and understanding of evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in patient documentation and medical record management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Familiarity with mental health advocacy and community resources.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Adept in using electronic health record systems.
  • Understanding of ethical and legal considerations in psychiatry.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary.
