Job Description

Job Title: Practice Lead Cyber Threat Services
Primary Location: REMOTE
Position Type: Direct Hire

Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Practice Lead Cyber Threat Services. This is a direct hire remote role. This role is open due to the need to help support the current team of 8 Pen Testers and to support the growth and modernization of the Cyber Threat Services Practice. Qualified candidates will have grown up in pen testing and have a passion for Pen Testing have excellent people management skills and experience developing offerings.

  • Consulting Delivery - Project Planning & Management - Pen Test Delivery -Report Quality Assurance (7-10 per week)

  • Sales & Marketing - Project Scoping & Estimating - Proposal Generation (3-6 per week) - Collaborate with Marketing on Strategy & Go To Market - Conferences and Events and Attending and Speaking) - Marketing Collateral Development

  • Intellectual Capital Development - Penetration Testing Product Development - Tools and Methods Research and Development

  • Administration - Management Meetings - Team Leadership & Mentoring - P&L Management


What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Cybersecurity Information Technology or a related field.

  • 5 years of experience in penetration testing and/or red teaming across a variety of technologies with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role within a consulting environment.

  • Proven experience mentoring a team of cybersecurity professionals.

  • Deep understanding of various penetration testing methodologies (e.g. OWASP Top 10 PTES).

  • Strong technical proficiency in a wide range of security tools and technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality client-facing reports and proposals.

  • Strong project management skills including planning execution and risk management.

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. OSCP OSWE OSCE CRTO GPEN GWAPT CISSP OSEP OSED GXON) are highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to innovate and drive product development.


What Youll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Lead the Penetration Testing Practice: Manage the profitability of the practice. This includes managing costs compensation and hires within the team and supporting Sales and Marketing to build demand for penetration testing services.

  • P&L Reporting: Regularly report performance metrics to firm leadership.

  • Penetration Testing Product Development: Drive the innovation and enhancement of our penetration testing methodologies tools and service offerings to meet evolving market demands and client needs.

  • Report Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of penetration test reports ensuring technical accuracy clarity and adherence to our high standards.

  • Project Scoping & Estimating: Collaborate with clients to accurately define project scope objectives and deliverables for penetration testing engagements and provide detailed and competitive project estimates.

  • Sales Support: Provide technical support for sales meetings and develop compelling and technically sound proposals that clearly articulate our value proposition.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of penetration testers providing technical guidance ensuring optimal team performance and assisting in career development.

  • Intellectual Capital Development & Management: Cultivate and manage the practices intellectual capital including best practices methodologies tools and training materials.

  • Management Meetings: Actively participate in cross-team management meetings contributing to strategic planning operational improvements and firm-wide initiatives.

  • Project Planning & Management: Lead project planning calls develop comprehensive project plans and oversee the execution of penetration testing projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Conferences and Events: Represent the firm at industry conferences and events including speaking engagements to enhance brand recognition and network with potential clients and partners.

  • Marketing Collateral Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and refine marketing collateral related to penetration testing services showcasing our expertise and offerings.


Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $180000.00 $ 200000.00 plus bonus depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance 401(k) and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity. This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
