A leading design firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Project Manager to join their growing San Antonio office. This individual will bring a strong background in guiding architectural teams through all phases of project delivery from early programming through design development technical execution and client coordination.
Candidates should have a proven ability to lead diverse project teams manage design complexity and maintain excellent client relationships. A solid track record of work in the educational sector (K12 and/or higher education) is required. Experience in healthcare commercial or institutional markets will be viewed favorably.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
As an Architectural Project Manager you will be responsible for leading teams through complex project scopes with a focus on creative problem-solving design quality and technical integrity.
Your contributions will include:
Serving as the primary point of contact for clients maintaining strong communication and relationships throughout the lifecycle of the project
Providing leadership mentorship and oversight to architectural staff and consultants
Managing all phases of design and documentation across multiple active projects
Coordinating design intent technical details and project deliverables
Supporting concept development and design direction with consistency and innovation
WHAT MAKES YOU A STRONG CANDIDATE
8 years of architectural experience with at least 4 years focused on K12 educational projects
Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program
Architectural licensure in Texas is preferred (candidates with equivalent experience may be considered)
Deep understanding of architectural project delivery scheduling and budgeting
Familiarity with construction documentation code requirements and building systems
Ability to manage multiple assignments in different stages of development simultaneously
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
Experience in education projects required; exposure to healthcare institutional or commercial projects is a plus
Proficiency in tools such as Revit Bluebeam Newforma and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with green building practices or sustainability frameworks is a plus
