Your Role:
As a German-Speaking Content Moderator youll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and positive online experience for users by ensuring that content aligns with established guidelines. Your keen eye for detail and strong judgment will be essential in reviewing and moderating user-generated content ensuring it meets community standards and legal requirements.
This is an on-site position meaning youll be working from our modern offices in Porto. Were looking for individuals who are responsible ethical and possess a strong commitment to online safety. While prior experience in content moderation or a related field is a plus its not a must-have. We believe in developing talent and provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the necessary skills for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Review: Diligently review user-generated content (e.g. text images videos) submitted in German ensuring adherence to specific platform guidelines and policies.
- Policy Enforcement: Apply content guidelines consistently and accurately to identify and action inappropriate offensive or harmful content.
- Decision Making: Make informed and timely decisions regarding content visibility removal or escalation based on established criteria.
- Documentation: Accurately log and document moderation decisions and observations contributing to a robust record-keeping system.
- Trend Identification: Proactively identify emerging content trends policy gaps or potential risks and report them to relevant teams.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on evolving content policies guidelines and cultural nuances to ensure effective moderation.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and other departments to ensure consistent moderation practices and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Data Security: Adhere to strict data privacy and security protocols during all moderation activities.
What Were Looking For:
- Fluent German (C1/C2 Level Preferred): Exceptional understanding of German language culture and online trends is essential for accurate content review.
- Proficient English (B2 Level or Higher): A mandatory requirement for internal communication training and policy comprehension within our international team.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly assess and interpret content identify subtle nuances and apply complex guidelines consistently.
- Excellent Judgment: Sound decision-making skills especially when dealing with sensitive or ambiguous content.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough in reviewing large volumes of content accurately.
- Ethical and Responsible: A strong sense of integrity and a commitment to maintaining a safe online environment.
- Adaptability and Resilience: Capable of handling sensitive and potentially disturbing content with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Comfortable navigating and utilizing various computer systems software and online tools with the ability to quickly learn new applications.
