Job Summary:
The Graduate Engineering Trainee Electrical & Controls will undergo structured training and hands-on experience in electrical design control systems and automation. The trainee will support senior engineers in executing engineering tasks related to control panel design PLC/HMI programming electrical schematics and instrumentation selection. This role is designed to build foundational technical skills project understanding and cross-functional collaboration for a future career in Electrical & Controls Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of electrical schematics panel GA and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Support in the design and development of control panels and selection of electrical components as per project requirements.
- Learn and contribute to PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley Siemens etc.).
- Assist in reviewing project documents like P&IDs control philosophies I/O lists and client specifications.
- Participate in internal design reviews and cross-functional meetings.
- Support the team in panel testing FAT and troubleshooting activities.
- Document and maintain design records BOMs and wiring schedules.
- Learn and follow engineering standards safety practices and quality procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (Fresh Graduate or 1 year experience).
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits control systems and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools is a plus.
- Exposure to PLC/HMI systems (academic projects or internships preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
