Job Description

Job Summary:

The Graduate Engineering Trainee Electrical & Controls will undergo structured training and hands-on experience in electrical design control systems and automation. The trainee will support senior engineers in executing engineering tasks related to control panel design PLC/HMI programming electrical schematics and instrumentation selection. This role is designed to build foundational technical skills project understanding and cross-functional collaboration for a future career in Electrical & Controls Engineering.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of electrical schematics panel GA and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Support in the design and development of control panels and selection of electrical components as per project requirements.
  • Learn and contribute to PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley Siemens etc.).
  • Assist in reviewing project documents like P&IDs control philosophies I/O lists and client specifications.
  • Participate in internal design reviews and cross-functional meetings.
  • Support the team in panel testing FAT and troubleshooting activities.
  • Document and maintain design records BOMs and wiring schedules.
  • Learn and follow engineering standards safety practices and quality procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (Fresh Graduate or 1 year experience).
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits control systems and industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to PLC/HMI systems (academic projects or internships preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
