About the Role

As the General Sales Manager you will be responsible for delivering profitability and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction across multiple departments. Youll lead a team of Sales professionals create and implement strategic sales initiatives and build a high-performing culture aligned with Autoleagues values and business objectives.

Carco is part of Autoleague one of Australias largest automotive retail groups with over 25 dealerships across Victoria Queensland and Western Australia. Representing some of the strongest brands in the industry including Toyota Mazda Mitsubishi Isuzu Hyundai Kia Volkswagen and MG Autoleague is at the forefront of automotive sales and aftercare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Sales team finance after care and delivery team.
  • Drive sales performance and implement marketing and sales strategies.
  • Create accurate forecasts budgets and sales reports.
  • Lead coaching and development of sales staff.
  • Oversee merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers internal stakeholders and OEM partners.
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all OH&S and company policies.

What Youll Bring Essential:

  • Proven leadership experience in automotive sales - ideally as a Sales Manager.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations performance metrics and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strategic thinking and strong financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership software systems.
  • A valid drivers licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-volume sales including New Used and/or Fleet.
  • Background in compiling reports and making data-driven decisions.
  • Qualifications in Business Management or a related field.
