Job Description

As Sr. Physical Access Control Technician II youll work as part of a highly collaborative and high-performing team providing logistics and maintenance support for information technology systems and communications equipment at the highest levels of the federal government.

What youll do:

  • Provide technical knowledge for the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of physical security systems including card readers keypads electric strikes CCTV cameras intrusion detection systems intercoms emergency call stations turnstiles and related hardware.
  • Perform first-line maintenance and repair support system integration conduct field diagnostics and work with engineers and IT personnel to ensure proper server and network functionality of physical access control systems.
  • Maintain configuration documentation conduct facility audits to identify vulnerabilities assist with corrective actions and support ID badge programming and access designation protocols.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of client trust and confidence and creatively think outside the box to assist with troubleshooting issues and providing innovative solutions that fit customers needs.

What youll need to succeed:

  • An active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • A bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years specialized experience in physical access control systems engineering and technical assistance related hardware and software maintenance as well as process and functional performance.
  • Experience determining mission requirements conceptualizing testing verification and validation implementation and sustainment of security systems.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and security personnel to ensure sys-tem integration and functional performance of security systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise with security access control operations.

SALARY RANGE: $129000 - $162000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications skills and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

  • The candidates professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
