Job Description

Teledyne Cable Solutions (TCS) is comprised of Storm Cable and VariSystems an integrated alliance supplying engineered solutions to challenging cable situations. TCS provides application-specific multi-core cable and ruggedized assemblies for a variety of industries.

THIS POSITION CAN BE FILLED EITHER IN DALLAS TX or SAN DIEGO CA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support to all departments in ERP system by maintaining document control performing part transfers and creation of IFS process instructions.
• Creates Shop Order Router for multiple products/sites by reviewing drawings and tooling.
• Reviews work orders against router steps and coordinates needed changes with other document control team members.
• Evaluates effectiveness of routers by communicating with operators and adjusting documentation as required.
• Uploads and maintains SOP documentation control.
• Generates reports as needed.
• Assist in maintaining tooling databases.
• Makes minor changes to drawings as required.
• Accepts other manufacturing department assignments generally working on lean initiative projects.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years directly related experience.

Job Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word Project Outlook Excel etc.)
• Prior experience using a MRP or ERP system is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to read/interpret documents such as drawings work instructions process sheets shop orders etc.

• Due to the nature of the work performed at our facility all applicants must hold US PERSON STATUS.

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including but not limited to location education/training work experience key skills and type of position.
