DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that schedule attainment is met on all products for your department
- Ensure that all employees follow HACCP GMP and BRC rules during production
- Ensure that all employees work safely and use equipment only when trained within the facility
- Ensures and maintains good housekeeping through out area of responsibility
- Complete all tasks given to you by your supervisor
- Hands on interactive management style
- Ensures product that is packed meets quality standards set by Columbus
- Responsible for data entered into Adage/Whistle/Mainsmart and OEE (when applicable)
- Fork-lift and pallet jack certification
- Report any employee issues in the department to your supervisor
- Report anything unusual including accidents breakage or malfunction of machineries and equipment to your supervisor.
- Follow your supervisors instructions including but not limited to different departments to help with production needs
- The employee must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours a day regardless of the department assignment
- Must be able to lead and overseeing the work direction in the functional area for which they are responsible. Must be able to work on the line as needed.

Educational and Job Experience Requirements
- High school diploma highly desired
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a line production environment preferably in food or beverage manufacturing
Job-related Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Basic English reading writing and comprehension skills
- Knowledge of basic Math
- Computer literate
- Possess a motivating attitude resourcefulness in the face of challenges sense of urgency
- Strong knowledge and skill of manufacturing and or production including but not limited to food manufacturing
- Production line experience in a leadership role
- Able to communicate read and write basic English
- Ability to set up breakdown and assemble equipment
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to provide clear work direction
- Ability understand package integrity
- Ability to understand slicer parameter
- Ability to understand multi-vac programs and settings
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work overtime and weekends
- Ability to work with spices allergens cleaning chemicals and mold
- Strong knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and BRC standards
- Drives continuous improvement in both production process and occupational safety
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment maintaining a commitment to results.
- Literacy in computer based applications
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Forklift and Pallet Jack certification required
Additional/Preferred (optional)
- ERT member highly encouraged.
Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions
The essential functions of the job and working conditions requires the individual to walk stand stoop bend reach crawl lift and usage of a computer. Lifting requirement: up to 70 lbs.
The job requires the individual to work in a light to moderate noise environment and/or up to a high level of noise environment that requires mandated personal protective equipment. Working environment may include but is not limited to: the donning (wearing) and usage of hairnets smocks coats gloves boots glasses and hard hats. The position may be exposed to extreme climate (e.g. hot dry cold and wet) conditions; may potentially be exposed to allergens and will work in and around hazardous energy (i.e.: electricity steam /condensate etc.) and toxic (ammonia Freon etc.) and non-toxic chemicals.
Work Schedule: Ability to work overtime holidays and weekends.
