EH&S Coordinator Now Hiring Santa Fe Springs CA

Compensation:

• Starting rate of $30 - 35/hour depending on experience - paid weekly
• Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases

Shift Available:

• 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Monday - Friday with some weekends and overtime

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator supports the organizations commitment to maintaining a safe healthy and compliant workplace. This role assists the EHS Manager by performing a range of administrative and operational tasks related to environmental and occupational health and safety. The EHS Coordinator plays a key role in developing and implementing safety policies ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards and fostering a proactive safety culture across the facility.

• Performs safety related administrative tasks to include compliant program recordkeeping equipment procurement Workers Compensation case management and responding to inquiries
• Develops evaluates and maintains effective health/safety policy and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements these activities include but are not limited to Safe Operating Procedures Hazard Communication Lockout/Tagout and JSAs
• Administers facility environmental activities including scheduling tracking reporting planning sampling and regulatory permitting for environmental assessments and investigations to ensure corporate & regulatory compliance
• Conducts routine audits and inspections of environmental procedures and controls recommending corrective action to maintain safety and effectiveness
• Maintains effective relationships with regulatory agencies
• Develops evaluates and maintains effective health/safety policy and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements these activities include but are not limited to Safe Operating Procedures Hazard Communication Lockout/Tagout and JSAs

• 3-5 years of related experience
• Bachelors degree preferred in safety industrial hygiene or environmental related discipline
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required
• Demonstrated computer literacy with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software(Access and Gensuite software are desirable)
  
• Have knowledge of Process Safety Management Title V NPDES and (SWPP) Storm Water Pollution Programs Hazardous Waste CAL-OSHA standards in Title 8
  
• Certification a plus (CIH CSP and/or CHP)
• Strong interpersonal skills andanalytical and communication skills
  
• Able to work flexible hours and be available on call before or after normal business hours
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
