Associates Degree Cardio and/or Vascular Technology preferred or Associates Degree and successful completion of an approved one-year program in Cardiac and/or Vascular Technology required
Experience
3 years experience in a lab supervisory role required
Licenses and Certifications (Any of the certifications below are required upon hire)
RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer
RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist
RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist
Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with staff and management.
Proven ability to handle personnel actions and leading others.
Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within field.
Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.

Position Responsibilities:
Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations and workflow.
Manages vascular staff and ensures proper training performance management and work schedules are met.
Ensures quality assurance quality control and compliance adherence.
Addresses investigates and resolves escalated issues pertaining to staff patients and lab.
Performs ultrasound examinations to assist physicians.
Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results.
Prepares and maintains operational logs.
Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression.
Performs other duties as assigned.
