Job Description
Job Summary
St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking a caring dependable and faith-filled Preschool Aide to assist the lead teacher in creating a nurturing structured and Christ-centered learning environment. The Preschool Aide supports instructional activities supervises students and helps integrate Catholic values into daily routines and classroom experiences.
Job Responsibilities
Classroom Support
Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans activities and routines.
Help set up and clean up learning centers materials and classroom spaces.
Provide individual and small-group support during academic and play-based instruction.
Child Supervision & Care
Monitor children to ensure safety positive interactions and engagement.
Assist with restroom breaks handwashing snack/lunch routines and nap time.
Foster a respectful and caring environment in line with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Faith Integration
Participate in classroom prayer religious songs and celebrations of the liturgical year.
Support the spiritual development of children by modeling Christian behavior.
Respect and uphold the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church in word and action.
Collaboration & Communication
Communicate effectively with the lead teacher regarding student needs and progress.
Work cooperatively with school staff and administrators.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with children and families.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting preferred.
Basic knowledge of child development and classroom management.
Practicing Catholic preferred or supportive of the Catholic Churchs mission and values.
Ability to pass all required background checks and complete required trainings (e.g. VIRTUS CPR/First Aid).
