Deputy Home Manager (Residential Care)Hours per Week Specialist Autism Support Service

Looking for your next leadership step in social care A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Deputy Home Manager to join a small specialist residential care home supporting adults with autism. If youre a compassionate leader with experience in residential care and a passion for person-centred support this role could be the perfect fit.

This warm inclusive service focuses on empowering individuals to live meaningful independent lives in a safe nurturing environment. Youll work alongside the Home Manager to ensure high-quality care delivery regulatory compliance and a supportive team culture.

What Were Looking For

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or higher)
  • Experience in a leadership and managerial role within a residential care setting (autism experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership communication and organisational skills
  • A person-centred approach with a deep understanding of autism and complex needs
  • Confident in managing care documentation and supporting regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential care home
  • Lead and supervise a team of care staff promoting a positive inclusive team culture
  • Oversee review and update person-centred care plans ensuring individual needs and goals are met
  • Build strong relationships with families professionals and external partners
  • Maintain a safe welcoming home environment that promotes independence and dignity
  • Support training development and performance of team members
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards safeguarding policies and all regulatory requirements
