Position Summary
Under limited supervision this position supports the development and implementation of the Facilities Asset Management System. Works with a variety of stakeholders to build and optimize asset management plans for specific asset types. Facilitates the documentation of business processes for asset and work management and works with IT Power Delivery Power Production and Shared Services groups to automate these processes in Enterprise Asset Management Software. Promotes asset management across Facilities.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Utilities corporate objectives by executing an Asset Management System in Facilities. The Senior Asset Management Specialist serves as the technical lead for the Facilities. The Senior Asset Management Specialist may be required to directly perform any of the following duties or oversee and train other members of the Facilities Team in the performance of the following duties:
- Prepare Asset Management Plans (including work plans for both preventive and corrective maintenance) establishing integrated acquisition maintenance renewal replacement and disposal strategies in consultation with all contributing departments that align with the Facilities Management Program and the Utilities Mission & Vision. This work includes Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) development and updating commissioning and retro-commissioning.
- Develop and implement strategies for collecting storing maintaining accessing and analyzing asset data and record documents. Including strategies and implementation of remote access monitoring and control systems (SCADA).
- Model asset whole life costs. Monitor forecast and report on asset costs in support of asset decision making including development of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Capital budgets.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Risk Department to develop a risk framework for each asset type which translates asset risk into dollars.
- Develop asset condition rating guidelines with input from Maintenance & Engineering and Maintenance Staff. Oversee and support the collection of asset condition data and forecast the health of the overall Facilities Asset Portfolio.
- Map out common failure modes and causes for each asset type. Oversee the collection and analysis of asset failure data. Compile asset failure reports. Use failure data to recommend improvements to future asset plans.
- Work closely with Grant PUD IT staff other Asset Management teams and affected stakeholders to identify the functional requirements for Facilities and Enterprise Asset and Work Management software tools including the use of tablets for field personnel. Support the implementation and ongoing use of the appropriate software tools.
- Monitor the execution of Asset Plan and Strategies. Verify compliance with the program and verify that the expected outcomes are being realized. Recommend adjustments as needed.
- Develop existing and new software tools and processes that include the ability to store update track and access plans warranties O&M data record document etc. as part of a Document Management Plan.
- Promote Asset Management across Internal Services and the Utility through training facilitation of discussions and the use of written and verbal communication including presenting.

Required Qualifications (Education Experience Licenses & Certifications):
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or related field or Electric Utility Apprenticeship or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Asset analytics utility or facility operations risk management root cause analysis corrective action programs continuous improvement initiatives or building systems trades including facility maintenance management.
- Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Certificate at time of hire or within 12 months of hire.
- IAM Diploma at time of hire or within 18 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications (Education Experience Licenses & Certifications):
- Experience in business operations building systems or engineering within the utility industry.
- Experience with equipment used in the operations and maintenance of electric and fiber systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 55000 and the Institute for Asset Management 39 subjects.
Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities
