Job Description

Unique opportunity to design and deliver best practice e-learning courses to strengthen responses to family violence and family law.

Womens Legal Service Victoria Melbourne CBD Immediate start Hybrid working model Full time or Part time negotiable (minimum 0.8EFT) Maximum Term until 30 June 2026

About Us

For over 40 years Womens Legal Service Victoria (Womens Legal) has championed womens rights to live free from violence. We are a dedicated team with a passion for working with women and non-binary people to live free from violence and discrimination by:

Providing high quality integrated legal services for Victorian women and non-binary people who are victim-survivors of family violence and disadvantagedor marginalised by structural and systemic barriers.

Building the capacity of professionals who work with women and non-binary people to better understandthe law and navigate the legal system safely.

Advancing gender equality by challenging unsafe and discriminatory policies andlaws and informing and advocating for legal and policy initiatives that respect andpromote the rights of women and non-binary people.

About the Role

You will develop and deliver best practice family law and family violence e-learning courses that build the capacity of professionals and communities to respond appropriately to the needs of women experiencing relationship breakdown or violence.

  • Work with subject matter experts in the team and external stakeholders to develop and deliver best practice e-learning courses.
  • Use data and feedback to refine and improve the quality relevance and uptake of e-learning courses.
  • Collaborate with partner organisations to deliver e-learning courses that support professionals to meet the needs of women experiencing family violence.

About You

You will be an experienced instructional designer or educator with a solid understanding of adult learning principles and a passion for creating high-quality engaging e-learning courses. With strong project management skills you can plan develop and refine educational materials with ease. You are a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills a creative problem-solver and committed to advancing gender equity through education.

Key to your success is your:

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices with experience in instructional design and online learning development;
  • Experience in designing and delivering online learning materials;
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles to create materials that are accessible to all learners; and
  • Understanding of or interest in gender equity issues in Australia.

You will:

  • Hold a tertiary degree in a relevant discipline;
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices with experience in instructional design and online learning development;
  • Experience in designing and delivering online learning materials;
  • Experience using online learning authoring tools including Articulate Rise and Storyline;
  • A degree in law and practice experience in family law family violence and child protection will be highly regarded.
