Permanent RN Emergency Department Mid Shift Location: Grapevine TX 76051
Shift: 12 HR Mids 01:00 PM - 01:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive clinical assessments to determine priority of care for patients and families.
- Develop implement and continually evaluate nursing care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Adjust care plans as necessary based on changing patient conditions.
- Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and families maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Educate patients families and the community to empower them in making informed healthcare decisions.
- Regularly assess document and address learning needs of patients and their support systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community resources to ensure holistic and coordinated care delivery.
- Delegate care tasks responsibly and monitor progress to ensure timely follow-up.
- Apply evidence-based problem-solving techniques to address patient care challenges.
- Uphold safety efficiency and effectiveness in care delivery.
- Actively participate in team collaboration performance improvement and continuing education.
- Contribute to peer development and demonstrate community service involvement.
Key Success Factors: - Strong understanding of nursing standards procedures and patient care principles.
- Knowledge of nursing laws hospital policies and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology disease prevention treatment options medications and side effects.
- Adherence to medical and professional ethics including respect for patient rights and privacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Basic computer proficiency including EMR systems Microsoft Office email and scheduling software.
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN required)
- Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience required
