Job Description
Title: Accounts Payable Manager
Compensation: 70k-85k
Location: Atlanta Georgia
About The Job:
Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. Our client is a well-established subcontractor in the commercial construction industry specializing in acoustical ceilings and drywall systems. They offer a stable work environment a collaborative team and opportunities for long-term growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced detail-driven environment and is looking to take ownership of the accounts payable function. The position is onsite with potential for hybrid flexibility based on performance and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications with accuracy and timeliness
- Distribute payments to subcontractors and collect lien waivers as required
- Maintain and update Funding Report to support corporate payment planning
- Coordinate hotel accommodations for out-of-town field employees
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve payment or documentation issues
- Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure payment timelines align with project schedules
- Ensure AP processes are compliant with internal policies contracts and accounting standards
- Support month-end closing and assist with audits or special projects as needed
Required Skills:
- Previous experience in accounts payable preferably in a construction or subcontracting environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar AP/accounting systems
- Knowledge of lien waivers subcontractor billing and construction pay applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
