Job Description

Are you an experienced clinician with a passion for developing others and shaping the future of ambulance care
Were offering two 7-month fixed term Clinical Support Officer opportunities for dynamic and committed clinicians to support course delivery within the Coastal Lakes/Waikato districts.
In this role youll play a key part in facilitating Clinical Practice deliverables; including; level three foundation courses level five New Zealand Diploma in Ambulance Practice CCE sessions and other core Clinical Practice deliverables. Youll need to be confident in facilitating learning supporting staff development and promoting clinical excellence.
This role involves travel and operates on a 42-hour average working week (Monday to Sunday) so flexibility and a proactive mindset are essential.
- To enable clinical excellence by working with Hato Hone St John personnel to develop good clinical practice
- The delivery of high-quality education in line with the curriculum defined by and provided by Hato Hone St John
- Developing individual learning plans that provide support to enable Hato Hone St John personnel to meet required competencies
- To provide constructive honest and accurate feedback to Operational members to improve their clinical competence and patient outcomes
Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will need:
- To have a current ATP (EMT and Paramedic preferred).
- A Certificate in Adult Teaching and NZQA 4098 (preferred).
- To be willing to travel for the role as required.
- A strong self-reflective skillset.
- Proven clinical knowledge and strong written skills.
- Can develop the clinical ability of others.
- Have a strong team focus.
- Well-developed communication and people skills.
- A good understanding of the MS Office suite.
- Have the ability to complete work autonomously.
- Be reliable and motivated with a positive attitude.
- Have a keen interest to learn and improve your own clinical practice through exposure to a wide range of clinical initiatives.
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with St Johns core values - Do the right thing Side by side Straight up Make it better Open minds
Experience in teaching or precepting is an advantage. Similarly qualifications in adult education and assessment (including unit standard 4098) are desired but not essential. We will encourage and support the successful applicant in attaining the necessary qualifications.
