Job Description

To support this vision were seeking a talented Engineer to join our high-performing team. 

 

About the role:

As a Senior Cloud & Platform Engineer youll be responsible for the delivery reliability scalability and resiliency of Vectors cloud systems. Youll lead the technical operations of our cloud infrastructure working closely with internal teamsincluding the wider digital and network operations teamsand external partners to ensure our platforms are secure efficient and future-ready. 

This is a hands-on role that blends technical leadership with operational excellence. Youll play a key part in shaping our DevOps practices automating infrastructure and supporting the systems that power our digital transformation. 

 

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of cloud and platform engineering activities. 

  • Managing production and development environments including updates and cybersecurity compliance. 

  • Driving automation across infrastructure lifecycle observability and disaster recovery. 

  • Supporting and improving public cloud systems with a strong focus on AWS. 

  • Collaborating with digital teams vendors and stakeholders to resolve and prioritise issues. 

  • Building and maintaining documentation support procedures and knowledge transfer processes. 

  • Participating in long-term strategy and scalability planning across the enterprise. 

  • Supporting the deployment of software updates patches and configuration changes. 

 

About You:

Youre a confident and experienced cloud engineer with a passion for automation reliability and continuous improvement. You thrive in complex environments and enjoy mentoring others while staying hands-on with technology. 

Youll bring with you: 

  • 7 years of IT infrastructure experience with strong public cloud (especially AWS) expertise. 

  • Deep understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. 

  • Proven experience in DevOps infrastructure automation and observability tooling. 

  • Strong scripting and coding skills for infrastructure-as-code. 

  • Solid knowledge of server and OS administration. 

  • Experience leading agile practices and uplifting team capability. 

  • A customer-centric data-driven mindset and strong communication skills. 

  • A strong leadership presence and mentoring capability.
