You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailCredit Union in the DFW area is hiring a Director of Consumer Lending to help drive strategic growth and operational excellence. In this key leadership role youll shape the credit unions lending vision while overseeing consumer loan operationsincluding Lending Real Estate Underwriting Titles and Loan Processing. This position is responsible for driving quality loan growth managing risk and ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. As an active member of the Asset Liability Committee and Executive Steering Committee this leader plays a key role in aligning lending strategy with the credit unions broader financial and member service goals.
This position oversees all aspects of consumer lending from credit risk management and product development to pricing strategy performance monitoring and compliance. Success in this role requires a proven track record in building and managing loan portfolios leading audits and developing high-performing teams. The Director also represents the credit union in interactions with regulatory agencies industry associations and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role manages the Underwriting Credit Risk and Loan Departments and is responsible for leading the overall direction performance and development of consumer loan operations.
Duties include interviewing hiring training performance management and handling employee relations in alignment with the credit unions policies and all applicable employment laws.
This leader is also responsible for developing and monitoring department goals that align with corporate objectives including employee expectations Net Promoter Score (NPS) incentive plans and annual bonus targets.

Qualifications :
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance or a related field plus at least 10 years of experience in real estate and consumer lending within a bank credit union finance company or similar institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience at a credit-granting organization of comparable size and complexity may be considered. Indirect auto loan experience is preferred but not required.
Certificates & Licenses
NMLS registration required.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate influence and gain cooperation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and other job-related software.
Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations.
