Job Description

KPMGs Resource Management team play a vital role in driving the firms culture of quality compliance ethics and integrity. Emphasising the importance for everyone to live our core values. The resourcing team drives utilisation maximising resource efficiency optimising productivity and profitability and facilitates forecast accuracy. As trusted business advisors the team is responsible for the allocation of individuals to upcoming projects based on required skills capability and industry experience.

Were seeking an extraordinary person to join our Consulting Resource Management Team. Youll join a national team of experienced Resource Managers and Consultants. Youll work collaboratively to achieve the best results for your stakeholders our people and our clients.

This is a parental leave cover role hence a max-term opportunity for 12 months.

Your Opportunity

As a Resource Manager youll develop and execute effective resourcing process and strategies in collaboration with your Resourcing Lead and Capability Leadership team. Your role will see you:

  • Providing resourcing options to business stakeholders considering different leverage models including our offshore team.
  • Understanding and communicating resourcing capacity and maximising resource efficiency.
  • Providing visibility insights and recommendations about resourcing to inform business decisions.
  • Identifying and resolving conflicts by negotiating resolutions with engagement managers and or reallocating existing resources.
  • Facilitating career development and growth for our people.
  • Ensuring forecast accuracy and identifying process improvements.
  • Facilitating resource mobilisation tracking redeployments.
  • Building a comprehensive knowledge of Divisional capabilities and individual career and development needs of resources to incorporate into project allocation decisions.

  • You are able to digest distil and communicate complex concepts in both written and verbal forms.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Resource Management experience in a Professional Services organisation.
  • Confident in stakeholder management and building relationships leveraging your communication and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Extremely organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing simultaneous tasks and priorities.
  • Proactive positive and motivated team player.
  • Thrives in an agile and dynamic environment in a national role.
  • Awareness and appropriate discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential material.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft especially Excel for reporting.
