Job Description
Special Education Coordinator Responsibilities (50%)Program Coordination & Compliance:Ensure school compliance with IDEA and other federal/state special education IEP development implementation and review and maintain all special education records for accuracy and legal guidance and professional development to special education teachers and support with general education teachers on inclusion accommodations and IEP and eligibility meetings as well as all corresponding documentation for compliance is submitted to the parent concerns regarding special education services or student and analyze data related to student progress and service and submit reports related to special education to the Director of Student scheduling and deployment of special education staff (paraprofessionals).Support with budgeting and resource allocation for special education materials and Education Teacher Responsibilities (50%)Instruction & Student Support:Provide direct instruction to students with IEPs in individual small-group or co-taught and implement specially designed instruction aligned with IEP data-driven instruction and progress monitoring to support student and update IEPs in collaboration with team and report student progress toward IEP accurate service logs and instructional with general education teachers to ensure inclusive regularly with parents/guardians on student progress and with related service providers (SLPs OTs counselors) to deliver comprehensive behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support positive behavior a supportive inclusive classroom environment tailored to student position is 200 days per year and qualifies for district contribution toward health insurance plus fully paid dental life and long-term disability insurance.
