This position is eligible for a hybrid workplace which is partly remote (work from home or travel to other facilities) and partly in office at our Headquarters location in Colorado Springs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must have ten (10) years relevant experience in health care management two (2) of which must include experience with public or business administration establishing goals and objectives as well as developing and managing a budget to achieve program goals and objectives.

Or

Applicant must have a combination of related education and experience in health care management equal to ten (10) years two (2) of which must include experience with public or business administration establishing goals and objectives as well as developing and managing a budget to achieve program goals and objectives.

Required Competencies:
  • Proven leadership and operational knowledge in health care management;
  • Proven experience in public health internal medicine family/population care with a global perspective.
  • Proven experience managing staff with professional health care experience and qualifications;
  • Proven experience in policy analysis development and implementation;
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication and public speaking skills; ability to demonstrate consensus building skills;
  • Proven ability to provide efficient and effective customer service while managing health care in a multiple programmatic organization demonstrating exemplary responsiveness;
  • Managing effectiveclinical operationswhile ensuring health care measures are met.
  • Provide analytical expertise inhealth care planning ensuring effectivenessprogressive establishment and evaluation of measurements;
  • Ability toidentify goals/objectives analyzeneeds/issues andoffer creative solutions;
  • Ability to implement and improveoperations through effective performance measures;
  • Ability to read and comprehend the English language;
  • Ability to effectively communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to create accessible documents and technical content that follows plain language guidelines with accessibility in mind.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Licensed in nursing (RN APN APRN)
  2. Experience managing a multi-disciplinary health care program;
  3. Experience managing a multi-disciplinary health care program within a correctional organization.

The CDOC is committed to a work environment free from illegal drugs and alcohol. Employees (see exception below) may use marijuana in their personal time but are prohibited from working while under the influence of any substance including marijuana. A drug test will be administered to all new employees; employees must successfully pass. Random drug screening will occur throughout employment.

Exception: Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified employees are prohibited from the use of marijuana. Health care professionals must check their licensing requirements regarding marijuana use.
