This full-time position covers the Eastern Shore region of Maryland with equal coverage across our Kent Island Denton and Easton locations.
UM Urgent Care providers serve as clinical leaders in our centersdelivering exceptional medical care fostering outstanding patient experiences and working collaboratively in a close-knit team environment with medical assistants and radiologic technologists. We care for patients ages one and older treating a wide range of conditions including upper respiratory infections sprains and strains lacerations requiring sutures employee health physicals work-related injuries and preoperative evaluations.
Providers work 12-hour clinical shifts (8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m.) typically 3 to 4 shifts per week totaling approximately 1214 shifts per month. Urgent care is a fast-paced dynamic environment that offers a broad spectrum of patient presentations ranging from acute illness to minor injuries.
Qualifications :
Candidates must be licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in good standing with the state of Maryland or have licensure pending approval. An active NPI number DEA registration and CDS license are required or the candidate must be in the process of obtaining them.
While not required prior clinical experience in urgent care emergency medicine intensive care or primary care settingswhether as a provider nurse or technicianis strongly preferred.

At the start of employment we provide side-by-side clinical training shifts to ensure new providers develop the hands-on procedural skills core clinical knowledge and EHR proficiency needed for success. Ongoing support is available at all times with APP and physician leadership accessible by phone during all operating hours ensuring providers are never without guidance when needed.
