Job Description
What will you be doing
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of components sourced from our suppliers with a particular focus on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) technologies. By fostering strong collaborative relationships with suppliers you will play a key role in not only maintaining but continuously improving product quality and supplier performance. Your efforts will directly contribute to the integrity of our supply chain and the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Location : Northampton/Essex
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Conduct supplier quality audits and on-site inspections ensuring compliance with agreed standards and specifications especially for PCBs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support supplier development initiatives aimed at improving product quality and process capability.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with suppliers and internal teams fostering strong positive relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and report on quality trends and risks.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality requirements are met from design through delivery.
- Travel regularly to supplier locations as needed to perform audits reviews and on-site support.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Proven experience in supplier quality assurance preferably in electronics or PCB manufacturing environments.
- Knowledgeable about PCB manufacturing processes and quality challenges.
- Comfortable with traveling regularly to supplier sites.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to quality issue resolution.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in engineering quality management or related fields.
