Procurement Specialist US & CA - Bay City TX
LOCATION: Bay City- Texas-USA

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
- Coordinates the contracting of third parties that provide in due time and manner equipment services and materials ensuring the best customer service level.
- Optimizes the purchasing cycle maximize quality minimize costs and ensures that purchase orders and contracts comply with all specifications.
- Provides quality assurance for the purchasing requisition process guaranteeing that information is sent to suppliers providing technical specifications and description of the required product and approving eligible suppliers.
- Ensures adequate supplier selection and Bids process.
- Maximizes contractual and economic benefits coordinating with Legal Affairs the establishment of contract terms ensuring compliance with guarantees and agreement conditions based on type of equipment and materials.
- Generates information for decision-making support.
- Understands the relevant safety parameters associated with each type of purchase and selects suitable suppliers accordingly (ie: Safety indicators HSE audits results).
- Ensures that our suppliers know TS/TX/Exiros HSE polices for critical services.
- Complies with the company policies procedures and management standards and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
- On call weekends and holidays in case of emergency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- Four (4) years of experience in a related occupation in energy or manufacturing industry performing each of the following: data analysis utilizing SAP; supply chain focused on logistic solutions and transportation services; negotiating contracts to maximize company benefits utilizing SAP and TMS (Transportation Management System); building relationships with key clients to resolve complex commercial and operational issues including payment issues market situating changes that affect prices/terms of contracts and negotiating scope of work with vendors.
Special Requirement: Up to 10% domestic travel required to other Tenaris sites.
