St Josephs Catholic College Aberdeen is currently seeking aTemporary Part-Time Canteen Officerto join our vibrant school community forTerm 3 (21 July to 26 September 2025). This role offers30 hours per weekin a supportive and engaging environment.

Nestled among the scenic farmlands of the Hunter Valley our co-educational Year 712 college is dedicated to nurturing the academic social physical and spiritual growth of every student. We pride ourselves on fostering a strong sense of community where staff students and families work together in mutual respect and trust.

As our Canteen Officer youll play a vital role in the daily life of the schoolproviding nutritious meals friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere for students and staff alike. Youll be part of a team that values connection care and the holistic development of young people.

Skills And Experiences

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Demonstrated understanding of current Work Health and Safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of preparation proper storage and disposal of food.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and hand hygiene.
  • Practical experience in the operation of a caf or canteen.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and the ability to achieve organisational and team values goals and objectives and to behave professionally.
  • Experience in handling cash.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Food Handling Certificate
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
