The Employer Partnerships & Job Development Coordinator is an integral position in our Career Pathways division. Reporting to our Career Pathways Director the successful candidate will lead external engagement with employers and industry partners. This role is responsible for creating meaningful employment pathways for program graduates by building strategic partnerships identifying job opportunities and aligning employer needs with participant skills.

Essential Functions:
Employer Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers industry leaders and workforce partners.
- Identify hiring needs and trends to inform job development strategies.
- Promote our employment training programs and graduates to potential employers through outreach presentations and networking events.
- Collaborate with employers to create customized hiring pipelines internships and work-based learning opportunities.
Job Development & Placement Strategy
- Source and secure employment opportunities that align with the training and career goals of program graduates.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure job readiness training aligns with employer expectations.
- Track job leads placements and retention outcomes using internal systems.
Community & Industry Representation
- Represent Tree Trust at workforce development coalitions job fairs and community events.
- Serve as a liaison between Tree Trust and the broader employment ecosystem.
- Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and promote the value of hiring program graduates.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Employment Coaches and Program Managers to ensure seamless participant transitions into employment.
- Provide regular updates on employer engagement activities and job placement outcomes.
- Contribute to grant reporting and program evaluation efforts.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability and willingness to demonstrate Tree Trusts core values of Professional Integrity Commitment Resilient and Stewardship.
- Proven experience in employer engagement business development workforce development or a related field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of local labor market trends and employer needs.
- Ability to work independently and represent the organization in a professional and mission-aligned manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and web-based applications.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle records check.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Databases (CRMs). Salesforce experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience working with youth or individuals facing barriers to employment.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed and equity-centered practices.
Work Environment: Indoor office environment; occasional visits to outdoor and indoor participant worksites; frequent visits to community locations and events.
Physical demands: Frequent local travel. Lifting and carrying up to 25lbs. Reach with hands and arms. Standing or sitting for long periods of time. Significant screen viewing and keyboarding/typing time repetitive movement of hands and fingers. Constantly required to communicate with ability to talk and hear.
