Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for serving meals and beverages to patrons in a prompt correct and courteous fashion in any of the propertys food and beverage outlets and banquet areas. Demonstrate sanitary food handling and equipment safety properly store and label food items maintain standards of sanitation and food handling based on County State and Federal regulations. Maintain clean and neat work area. Follow the Steps of service for the venue they are working as outlined in the venue policies and procedures. Availability to work a flexible schedule. Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant friendly and professional manner at all times. Must follow all cash handling SOPs of the venue they are working. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Previous serving experience required. Excellent customer service/communication skills essential . Available to work required schedule as directed by department management. Must have neat and clean appearance and adhere to the casino policy on dress code and be out-going. Must have the ability to obtain and hold an Occupational License as required by the Indiana Gaming Commission and/ or Indiana Horse Racing Commission. Must be certified in Serve Safe Alcohol Awareness and Indiana State approve Alcohol Training. Hold an Indiana ATC (Alcohol & Tobacco Commission) License. Position requires scheduling flexibility may be required to work weekends holidays overnight or overtime based upon scheduling and business needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and the ability to deal effectively with guests and management employees and outside contacts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Also required are frequent standing walking stooping bending lifting reaching climbing steps and sitting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Indiana Grand Racing & Casino is a smoking establishment therefore must be able to work in a smoking environment. Must be able to work in a highly populated fast-paced and noisy environment.
ACCESS TO GAMING FLOOR
Access to general gaming floor and may required access to the Employee Service Window (ESW) of the Cage to obtain F&B bank.
