The Project
We are currently tendering for future Sydney Water projects focusing on delivering high-value infrastructure in Western Sydney. These roles are crucial as we aim to deliver projects valued at over $1 billion within our upcoming Sydney Water project portfolio. To be considered applicants must have experience in delivering water processing projects
Your Opportunity
As the Project Director you will be responsible for leading the project team ensuring that all project components are delivered on time within budget and to the highest standards. Skilled in delivering effective solutions you will possess a deep understanding of the intricacies and complexities involved in the design and methodology of multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects. Your leadership will be crucial in managing stakeholder relationships mitigating risks and driving the successful completion of our Sydney Water projects.

As Project Director you will be accountable for:
Lead and manage the effective set-up delivery monitoring and completion of assigned projects ensuring programme budget quality and contractual obligations are met.
Provide leadership guidance and professional development to project teams including clear task assignment and oversight
Review and authorise construction plans schedules temporary works method statements and safety documentation to ensure compliance and best practice.
Monitor project progress prepare accurate reports and take prompt corrective action when to maintain alignment with goals.
Support estimating and bid teams by providing leadership and technical input on key project opportunities and handover processes to clients.
Requirements for this role are:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management are preferred
Demonstrated experience as a Project Director in Civil or SMPE&I Construction with a Tier 1 contractor between $500M to $1B
Management skills to lead a team of people to deliver quality projects on time for the best cost and with no safety incidents
Strong commercial focus / business acumen
