The Project

CPB Contractors are currently delivering a number of Civil SMPEI and multi discipline projects located in Western Australias Pilbara & Eastern Goldfields Regions. At this stage our order book has works locked in until mid 2026 with future opportunities being pursued.

Your Opportunity

CPB Contractors are currently seeking a Project Director to lead a large-scale EPC Contract for a leading blue chip Iron Ore Client you will be responsible for the overall project delivery including engineering procurement and construction to safety time cost quality and compliance role demands a strong focus on leadership to achieve required outcomes of the work group and the promotion of high-performance standards in accordance with the CPB Contractors values and team behaviours.

As Project Director you will be accountable for:

  • Managing the effective set-up delivery and completion of assigned projects
  • Providing leadership and professional development for your team
  • Managing and monitoring the completion of projects to ensure programme budget quality environmental and contractual obligations are achieved and taking prompt corrective action where required
  • Effectively manage the handover process to the client
  • Reviewing and authorising construction plans schedules temporary works designs method statements and Safe Work Method Statements
  • Monitoring project progress against the programme and budget
  • Preparing accurate project reports
  • Providing leadership and guidance to estimating and bid teams for assigned key target opportunities.
  • Effectively assigning tasks to project team members to deliver the required outputs to agreed specifications
  • Ensuring the project is adequately resourced to deliver project requirements in the with the programme and contractual agreements
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships with resource and energy clients underpinning commercial outcomes and business growth.

Requirements for this role are:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management are preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Director in Civil or SMPE&I Construction with a Tier 1 contractor between $200M and $500M
  • Management skills to lead a team of people to deliver quality projects on time for the best cost and with no safety incidents
  • Strong commercial focus / business acumen
