Job Description

Provide guidance and support to the National Account Pricing department. Research and determine needed level of pricing for various National Account customers. Assist the Director with meetings and presentations or lead meetings and presentations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis on large accounts and participate in group analysis
- Handle multiple bids and pricing projects simultaneously
- Assist the Director with pricing projects and participate in conference calls and meetings throughout the RFP and Bid processes
- Assist Pricing Analysts with questions and analysis and interact with other departments to resolve issues
- Organize various pricing projects presented to the Pricing department
- Analyze prepare and respond to bids offered by large National Account customers
- Negotiate Directly with Customers
- Develop ways to format publications to offer most efficient interaction between all parties that will be utilizing ODFL internal publications for both clear intent of provisions as well as for auto rating purposes
- Work with National Account Sales and customers in the overall arena of pricing
- Interact with senior management and act as liaison between customers and senior management to resolve customer issues
Job Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma required
Experience:
- 7 years of pricing experience in the transportation industry; preferably with OD
- Performance history of dependability and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategies
- Specialized pricing experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organization and time management skills
