Work Arrangements:Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). Employees in this position who telework will be required to travel to the identified work site at least three times per week or a minimum of 60% of their regular work schedule at their own expense.

The Role

We are looking for Project Manager to support our Real Property Planning and Management (RPPM). The Project Manager would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity Excellence Respect and Creativity.

RPPM has the mandate to lead the prioritization of NRC recapitalization projects and deliver research facilities and real property renewal projects to support NRCs transformation journey into a more advanced research and technology organization that supports Canadas science technology and innovation ecosystem.

Under the direction of the Director Engineering and Construction the Project Manager provides project management support in the development of project charters and project management plans for scientific facilities and/or real property projects and ensures that the projects they are assigned are delivered that schedules and budgets are adhered to and that stakeholder expectations are met.

The incumbent will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a matrix environment liaising with subject matter experts from Research Centres RPPM engineering leads project coordinators procurement agents comptrollers and administrative staff and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

The Project Manager is responsible to prepare project charters project management plans status reports and all required documents to comply with the RPPM Engineering and Construction Office project delivery process and policies. They shall also support the Director Engineering and Construction in performance planning by monitoring of the day-to-day progress and budget of the projects as well as other related activities.

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

Bachelors degree in science engineering project management or in a field relevant to this position.

A formal designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) would be considered an asset.

* Recent experience is defined as within the last two (2) years.

** Significant experience is defined as a minimum of four (4) years of experience.

The intent of this hiring action is to staff this position at theRCO-2 level with a salary range of $82338 to $114354.

NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidates expertise outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the such the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).

In addition the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800per year.
