Job Schedule: 9/80 off every other Friday
Job Description:
Performs functional test support operations based on standard operating and test procedures. Performs technical duties in operating troubleshooting testing repairing and aligning of electronic equipment. Works from schematics operating or repair manuals engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to support general laboratory test and evaluation operations (Multimeter Logic Analyzer Spectrum Analyzer Signal Generator etc.).
- May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify processes.
- Assemble configure test operate and repair hardware in accordance with documentation provided.
- Perform benchtop functional testing with only the guidance of a test procedure and understand what the procedure is testing.
- Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools.
- Maintain a clean well-organized and safe work area. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to manager.
- Support facility operations through the completion of assigned tasks as directed by management.
- Should be able to acquire a Secret clearance. No travel is required. Working extended hours may be required.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Possess a high level of initiative and willingness to learn.
- Professional attitude and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Daily schedule and task flexibility with minimal notice.
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g. Excel Word). Basic networking experience is also preferred.
- Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with working in an ESD safe environment.
