Job Description

Job Title: Sr Associate Government Compliance Asset Management

Job Code: 28298

Job Location: North Amityville NY

Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

Property analyst are responsible for maintaining an approved property control system in compliance with current government property regulations Federal Acquisition Requirement (FAR). Coordinate and manage property control activities to ensure accountability and traceability of Government contractor acquired and/or customer furnished property in accordance with applicable government regulations and corporate policy.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide asset management customer service to the SAS1 Division in support of the objectives of Government Compliance
  • Manage the asset management records database including accurate input of new records and updates to existing records
  • Ensure tracking and retention of audit artifacts
  • Provide barcode tags and perform equipment tagging
  • Prepare asset management documentation
  • Contributes to the preparation of asset management reports as needed including data for financial reports physical inventory reports and results lost equipment self-assessment results and additional reports
  • Coordinate the submittal of inventory disposal request through prime contractors.
  • Review PIEE Property Position Report for property in the custody of L3Harris.
  • Interfaces with customers auditors senior management and other internal stakeholders for all asset management matters
  • Support internal and external audits including quarterly self-assessments
  • Responsible for providing guidance and training to company personnel on the application of business system processes interpretation of laws and regulations and compliance requirements
  • Learn and apply Sarbanes-Oxley regulations Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and L3Harris financial policies and applied to asset acquisition and disposition
  • Identify and correct process deficiencies and propose solutions for continuous improvement
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma training
  • Obtain Certified Property Professional Specialist (CPPS) certification from the National Property Management Association (NPMA)
  • Certified Property Professional Specialist (CPPS) certification from the National Property Management Association (NPMA)
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior leadership and auditors
  • Ability to lift/move 30 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Operations Management Information Technology or Business Management preferred or 2 years directly related experience.
  • Working knowledge of contractual requirements related to Government Property Management including FAR 52.245-1 DFARS property management clauses and DCMA Job Aid.
  • Proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Data analysis skill including familiarity with Microsoft Excel formulas charts and pivot tables
  • Familiarity with Sunflower asset tracking system
  • Basic understanding of Contractor Business Systems

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York State is $54000- $100000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
