Job Description

Overview

Are you a natural communicator who loves helping people and solving problems Element Materials Technology is looking for aCustomer Service Representative (CSR)to be the friendly first point of contact for our customers!

In this role youll handle pricing and Request for Quote (RFQ) inquiries making sure our clients get fast accurate information. Youll be the bridge between our customers and internal teams helping everything run smoothly and professionally.

This role is located in our Houston Lab.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Proactively connect with customers via phone email and web conferencing.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships acting as a key liaison.

Sales & Quoting

  • Manage the sales cycle from needs assessment to closing.
  • Handle standard product/service quotes using price lists.
  • Achieve sales targets through lead conversion and account growth.

Support & Coordination

  • Address customer inquiries and complaints in coordination with internal teams.
  • Provide updates on orders shipping and invoicing.

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system including contact info and activity logs.

Product Knowledge & Compliance

  • Stay informed on company services and participate in training.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Skills / Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a customer service role; experience with quoting is strongly preferred.

Communication Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities including the capacity to write reports and business correspondence.
    • Comfortable presenting to groups of customers or internal teams.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills that promote open respectful communication across all levels of the organization.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities:

    • Proficient in interpreting customer quotes contracts marketing materials and testing specifications.
    • Skilled in solving practical customer issues and interpreting various forms of instructions (written oral diagrams schedules).
    • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts interest commissions and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Technical Proficiency:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and CRM systems is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with interpreting testing procedures and technical requirements is a plus.

Organizational Skills:

    • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
    • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Other Requirements:

    • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record in accordance with Elements policy.
    • Ability to interface directly with clients understand their needs and contribute to proposal development including cost estimates work plans and terms and conditions.
