Job Description:
The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris Technologies has an immediate need for aSenior Associate Strategy Developmentat ourAdvanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) located inHuntsville this location we produce and develop a variety of energetic assemblies for rocket propulsion.
In this role you will develop the internal execution plans and interface with key team members to ensure alignment of site and program objectives. The key responsibilities include creating plans to integrate teams such as manufacturing engineering tool engineering/design manufacturing operations etc. ensuring products are developed and delivered per safety quality schedule and budget targets. The ideal individual for this role will have knowledge of and experience implemented Lean processes and driving efficiency through process improvement. These program execution plans will be up to date at all times and will include all known risks and opportunities being worked by the team. Responsibility may include Cost Account Manager Duties for the labor elements of the program(s).
Essential Functions:
- Identify areas requiring equipment or facilities improvements that will help support rate increases and transition of programs from site to site.
- Support quotation and procurement activities in support of identified improvement or addition while ensuring projects meet or exceed necessary installation and checkout prior to manufacturing need.
- Schedule in coordination with facilities team the arrival offloading and installation of equipment to ensure critical deadlines are met for production need.
- Ensure schedule takes into consideration other critical building activities occurring and does not interfere with Production Operations.
- Integrate with program teams to ensure any program requirements are being tracked and internally tracked installs support commitments being made.
- Develop recovery plans and Return to Green Schedules when issues arise and coordinate cross-functionally to mitigate impact.
- Drive improvement projects and actions through cross functional teams with a focus on safety quality and delivery cost.
- Communicate cross-functionally and effectively with all COEs to best capture improvements and drive efficiency.
- Ability to work extended hours based on manufacturing business needs.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Travel: 10%
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior manufacturing experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior manufacturing experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior manufacturing experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is preferred.
- Ability to analyze evaluate and develop solutions to technical problems with minimum supervision is preferred.
- Experience with Material Planning and Scheduling is preferred.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to build cross functional relationships is critical.
- Proficiency with MS Office products.
- Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
- Experience related to procurement/indirect purchasing.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- Experience with Oracle ERP systems is desired.
