Job Description:
As a ADABAS & Natural Mainframe System Programmer you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our mainframe systems ensuring their reliability performance and security. You will be part of a team of system programmers and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support the organizations mainframe infrastructure needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and optimization of mainframe infrastructure to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Conduct system performance analysis and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
- Mentor and guide junior system programmers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the mainframe environment.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification on Computer Science concepts and proficient advanced experience.
- Knowledge within the financial industry with a focus on mainframe systems
- Extensive experience with ADABAS DB Infrastructure and Natural programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe infrastructure including z/OS JCL TSO ISPF RACF and CICS.
- Proficiency in system performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience in project management and the ability to lead complex initiatives.
Preferred qualifications capabilities & skills:
- Knowledge of database management systems and data modeling.
- Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for mainframe systems.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Understanding of financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.
