JOB TITLE:Receptionist
REPORTS:Principal

Job Summary:
This is a 10-month position. Under the direction of the principal and working in collaboration with school staff. The receptionist will be families and staffs first point of contact and expected to be a warm welcome with basic understanding of the school procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or A.A degree
- Receptionist or customer service experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Public Waldorf Pedagogy
- Knowledge of public-school requirements
Essential functions:
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office
- Answers phone calls and supports visitors while following all safety protocols
- Records attendance
- Exhibits polite and professional communication with staff families and vendors
- Dispenses and collects all time sheets from staff and contractors to submit to the payroll manager
- Ensures operation of office equipment by completing simple maintenance requirements and calling for repairs when needed.
- Assists with ill children.
- Ensures all families have up to date emergency contact forms and car tags
- Operate Raptor FOCUS etc.

- Provides consistent guidance and redirection to parents students and staff.
- Adheres and enforce school safety policies.
- Provides a loving healthy and safe environment for children visiting the office due to illness injury emotional distress or behavioral problems.
- Demonstrates patience when interacting with children parents co-workers and vendors.
- Attends school functions as required by administration.
- Support the school in word and actions both on and off campus.
- Confidentiality is required in school matters in regard to students their families and coworkers.
- Excellent organization time management and follow-up skills
- Excellent communication presentation problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Experience working effectively with parents.

Employees are regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing. Standing and sitting for significant periods is also required. Walking and reaching is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Work Environment:
Most work is performed indoors with occasional outdoor work required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
