Job Description
Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Electrical/Controls Engineer to their Peoria team!
Responsibilities:
- Lead design efforts for projects
- Provide constructability review for electrical and automation design documents
- Provide quality and coordination review of shop drawing and O&M submittals
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Design electrical distribution systems (including one-line diagrams plan drawings panel schedules and equipment elevations)
- Design automation controls and related SCADA systems for water/wastewater processes (including communications PLC architecture instrumentation and related software and hardware)
- Prepare specifications (electrical instrumentation and process controls)
- Prepares Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Prepares detailed control panel wiring schematics panel layouts bills of material communication diagrams etc.
- Review instrumentation/control system submittal packages
- Review/update design standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes industry standards and good engineering practice
- Visit job sites on occasion
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 6 years of Electrical/Controls Engineer experience
- Programming experience using PLCs OITs and SCADA software
- Advanced computer skills required
- Experience in AutoCAD
Salary is commensurate with experience.
