Job Duties
The logistics representative is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role safeguards that logistics operations including receiving inventory tracking and materials handlingare completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Process outgoing shipments ensuring correct items quantities lasering and tubing.
- Verify and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality; reconcile with purchase orders.
- Perform monthly and year-end inventory audits.
- Collaborate with production customer service and other departments as needed.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assume additional responsibilities and projects as requested.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Mechanically inclined. Basic math skills and good analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Great attention to detail is required.
- Ability to read basic prints and understand geometric dimensioning.
- Ability to stay focused composed and productive under pressure while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Safety conscious ethical and eager to learn and grow.
- Reliability & willingness to work overtime as necessary are required.
