The Night Warehouse Manager will be accountable for the safe accurate and efficient loading of all Beechwood delivery trucks. Must manage and motivate a team of approximately 20 employees comprising of forklift operators & order selectors. Primary objectives include lowering operating costs through decreased breakage increased productivity and zero loading errors. This is an overnight schedule with hours starting Sunday 7:30 PM - 4 AM (Friday completion).
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide leadership coaching and supervision of staff in order selection and loading procedures
- Manpower and Equipment planning
- Ensure the proper upkeep of the warehouse
- Supervise and direct the movement of delivery assets in preparation for loading
- Inform management of equipment deficiencies
- Assist in loading delivery trucks
- Load invoicing through VIP software and file transmission to vendor partners
- Administer Voice Pick oversight of software and assigned hardware
- Ensure that accident / injury reports are filed promptly with adequate follow-up
- Familiarity with OSHA and Company SOP
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a business or Supply Chain related major
- Excellent communication ability
- Experience in wholesale delivery and/or warehouse operations
- Knowledge of computer systems
- Managerial experience
Critical Physical Demands:
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including but not limited to computer keyboard telephone adding machine and copier
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment including but not limited to forklift pallet jack scissor lift
- Climbing stairs and inclined surfaces on an occasional basis
- Walking on hard surfaces on a frequent basis
- Two handed lifting of up to 40 pounds from floor to shoulder height on a regular basis
