The Opportunity:

We are seeking an entry-level Warehouse Worker - Shipping Agent to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting shipping operations ensuring accurate order fulfillment and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. Job Summary:

To perform the duties and responsibilities for the general shipping areas in a safe and efficient manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities/ Scope of Authority:

• No supervisory responsibilities.
• This role receives direction and authority from the Distribution & Logistics Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general shipping duties
• Accurately and efficiently pack all orders report any discrepancies
• Ensure that all orders are packed to customer specifications
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
• Notify proper personnel of any damage and differences with orders
• Verify any quality problems and report in a timely manner
• Assist with shipments such as weight verification and pallet transport
• Ensure that all boxes are securely fastened and labels are correctly positioned on all cartons or pallets
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Provide count verifications as needed
• Overtime may be required at times
• Comply with all safety policies practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Able to safely operate warehouse moving devices such as pallet jacks and dollys
• Effective communications (writing and verbal) within all departments
• Team Oriented flexible reliable dependable and cooperative
• Ability to perform basic math skills such as adding or multiplying
• Intermediate computer skills such as e-mail and inventory look up
• Support all other departments as the business needs arise
• Constantly drives results that meet company financial quality and operational objectives while meeting or exceeding customer expectations thus continually strengthening our brand.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Work off and around roll around ladders
• Standard business environment.
• Bending and reaching forward sideways and overhead; finger dexterity to perform functions on computer and access files; sitting for long periods at a time.
