Job Description

Summary
The Procurement Associate is responsible for tracking orders and deliveries and providing timely accurate updates to customers in a professional manner. This role requires strong organizational time management and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. The Procurement Associate collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a high level of customer service and support a variety of procurement activities. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.
This position reports to the Procurement and Asset Coordinator. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelors degree in business supply chain management or a related field and have at least three years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented organized and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operations and Job Functions
  • Provide accurate up-to-date information to clients regarding their orders and deliveries in a professional manner building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Understand and follow the organizations purchasing policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain an organized database of all purchases including pricing terms and delivery dates.
  • Track orders and shipments to ensure timely delivery proactively addressing any delays.
  • Facilitate shipping and coordinate with suppliers and shippers as needed to confirm or update orders.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality service and competitive pricing.
  • Assist in evaluating vendor quotes and pricing to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare basic procurement reports and summaries as requested to support purchasing decisions and track key metrics.
  • Manage the inventory of supplies and equipment as directed.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping to comply with audit requirements and internal policies.
  • Review and respond promptly to phone calls service tickets and electronic correspondence.
  • Collaborate with service teams to communicate order shipment delivery and installation dates to clients.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procurement processes and systems.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the procurement team and other departments as needed.
  • Ensure client needs are addressed promptly and accurately through independent support or in collaboration with the appropriate Myriad team(s).
  • Assist with overflow incoming calls to ensure all calls are answered in person; create detailed service tickets and transfer calls as appropriate.

Desired Qualifications (Knowledge and Skills)
  • Bachelors degree in business supply chain management logistics or a related field preferred.
  • 13 years of experience in procurement logistics supply chain or a customer service-related role preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and database management.
  • Excellent adaptability and mental flexibility to respond effectively to a variety of situations and communication channels including phone email social media and in-person interactions.
  • Strong knowledge retention skills and a commitment to staying up to date on company products processes and specifications.
  • Ability to answer customer questions accurately and efficiently with self-awareness to recognize knowledge limits and proactively seek accurate information when needed.
  • Strong problem-solving communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced changing environment.
