Description

Job Summary:

The Ancillary Manager is responsible for assisting the Ancillary Manager with day-to-day activities of the Los Angeles Center for Ear Nose Throat and Allergys Ancillary Clinics and Services; including but not limited to the Los Angeles Center for Hearing and Balance (LACHB) Allergy Practice Speech & Language Pathology Practice Personal Injury and Skilled Nursing Facilities Services. This position performs a variety of duties and responsibilities that emphasize leadership quality patient care and customer service. This position assists the Ancillary Manager with the operational personnel and administrative functions of the practices ancillary services while fostering an environment that promotes excellent patient care comfort and trust. The Ancillary Manager must exemplify the core values of the organization always exercising utmost discretion diplomacy and tact in all patient/staff interactions.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of day-to-day operations of Ancillary Clinics and Services
  • Onboard train and support new team members with appropriate orientation and training of clinic/company expectations
  • Supervise and support team members in their day-to-day functions as related to the practice; provide coaching and support with regard to patient interactions equipment troubleshooting etc.
  • Supervise and assist in all obtaining necessary authorizations procedures for ancillary services
  • Ensuring that staff is keeping up with necessary paperwork and record keeping
  • Aid in developing and approving staff schedules
  • Assist with managing the appropriate needs/requests of office furniture equipment technology supplies and hardware for all ancillary offices and locations
  • Assisting with vendor tracking and relationship management
  • Assist in the transfer of equipment and supplies from one location to another
  • Investigate and resolve escalated or difficult complaints from patients; including handling patient grievances concerns and all customer service-related matters
  • Be able to test and troubleshoot all equipment related to ancillary services and interface with vendors when necessary to repair items
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Evaluate and improve operations and personnel functions
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. operational problems employee conflicts loss of business to competitors)
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
  • Other duties as assigne
Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are reflective of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

  • AA Degree
  • At least 1 year in a managerial role
  • Strategic thinker innovative and problem-solver
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Results-driven adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules;
  • Healthcare experience knowledge of ENT and Allergy a plus
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and manage a team while focusing on process improvement and customer service.
  • Strong leadership and management skills especially around internal communication and collaboration goal-setting and metrics/performance management

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The individual will be required to:

  • Sit for long periods at a time.
  • Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions daily.
  • Ability to lift push and pull up to 20 lbs. periodically.
  • Travel to clinic locations or sites as needed.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Salary Description
$70000-80000 annually
